To repair your system: - The starting kernel was set to: Ubuntu 11.04, kernel 2.6.38-8-generic-pae - Delete old and unused kernel-image to gain some space on /boot (probably optional) - Press ESC in your bootmanager (in my case GRUB) to start the correct kernel:Ubuntu 11.04, kernel 2.6.38-8-generic - The system should boot now correct - Execute Computer Janitor to gain enough space on /boot - Execute Update Manager to complete the update process - To be shure every thing is correct I reinstalled the package initramfs-tools (per Synaptic Package Manager) - Use StartUp-Manager to set the default Kernel to: Ubuntu 11.04, kernel 2.6.38-8-generic - Reboot and test
