Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: chromium-browser
Something is causing the browser to play /usr/share/sounds/ubuntu/stereo
/button-pressed.ogg every time I open or close a tab.
Note that I'm running a KDE3 (Trinity) desktop and not gnome. Some
googling suggests running gnome-volume-control, but that only results in
a "Waiting for sound system to respond" dialog and repeated "** (gnome-
volume-control:12718): WARNING **: Connection failed, reconnecting..."
messages on the console. I understand this is because I don't have
pulseaudio installed (as I don't have anything that actually uses it).
Other suggestions include uninstalling the package that provides the
offending sound file(s), but this strikes me as shooting the messenger,
so to speak.
