Yes, I have the same problem and did not choose to fix with the
workaround of Berend, but downloading and compiling the last version
dante-1.2.3.tar.gz from http://www.inet.no/dante ; it put all at
/usr/local (bin for socksify and lib for libdsocks.so) and the
socks.conf necessary at etc should be adapted from dante-1.2.3/example
directory of the compilation.
