Public bug reported:
Feisty Fawn running on IBM T21. Network Manager removed due to
configuration problems with the rt2500 card. Card is configured in
/etc/network/interfaces using the following :
iface ra0 inet static
address 192.168.2.10
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.2.1
pre-up ifconfig ra0 up
pre-up ifconfig ra0 down
pre-up ifconfig ra0 up
pre-up ifconfig ra0 down
pre-up iwconfig ra0 essid myessid
pre-up iwconfig ra0 mode Managed
pre-up iwconfig ra0 key mykey
pre-up ifconfig ra0 up
On resume, the only way to get the card back is to reset the essid, mode and
key parameters via iwconfig at the terminal.
