Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: amarok

I did this from a clean installation of Kubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn.

Steps to reproduce:

1: Installa Kubuntu Feisty from the desktop install cd.
2: Start amarok.
3: Goto Settings > Configure > Collection > Navigate to your music collection.
4: Wait while Amarok scans the collection.
5: It will crash.

This may not be happening to everybody (I sure hope not!).
Maybe this is caused by one of the following:
 * I have .wav files in my collection. Some of these wave files are 24 bit and
not the regular 16 bit.
 * I have files with unicode filenames.[1]
 * Some of the files may have unicode chars in their ID3 tags. I don't know
actually, but this could be, since I have filenames with unicode chars.

Other useful information about my setup:
 * I only use ext3 filesystem.
 * I use UTF-8 as locale.
 * This is tested on a completely new installation.

[1]:
Maybe a little off topic, but if anyone can suggest an easy way to convert all
my unicode filenames to something less harmful, I am all ears! :)
