Hi Drew, thanks for clearing that up. This is an important detail. What kind of ethernet problems? Something like bug 719873 (same driver sky2 on another Apple).
If you are connected to mains at all times since before a cold start, do the problems with ethernet and suspend also happen? This is for checking against problems related to PCIe bus power saving (pci_aspm). You might even try adding the boot option pcie_aspm=off in grub. As preparation for installing 2.6.39: Do you know how to select a different kernel (e.g. the recovery mode kernel) in grub? Hold shift at boot if you do not get a grub menu. If you can select kernels at boot you can install the 2.6.39 kernel for testing. You can then always select the old kernel at the next boot. No ethernet required. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/774237 Title: MacBookPro4,1freezes on resume with Natty -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
