I have no official affiliation with Canonical, nor any special status in any of 
the projects/packages affected by this bug, but due to my familiarity with the 
relevant policies, I can answer your question. This is clearly a very serious 
bug, preventing many users of Nvidia cards from using Unity. It has been rated 
High in Unity and Critical in xserver-xorg-video-nouveau. Since it renders a 
major, important system component entirely unusable for many users, but does 
not appear to have security ramifications, once a fix is made and tested, it 
will be released via natty-updates. See
