Here's the situation. I removed the 2.6.39 kernel and then restarted. The GRUB
was loaded and the kernel was still visible. I selected it and then I got a
screen saying: "Error: You need to load the kernel first. Press any key to
continue." I pressed a key and I was taken back to the main GRUB screen. There
I selected the Previous Linux Versions option and the 2.6.38-8 kernel appeared
along with its recovery mode. But the Kamal 2.6.38-9 wasn't anywhere to find.
Right now I am on the 2.6.38-8 kernel.
So, I was thinking......maybe I should uninstall the 2.6.38-8 too? Maybe the
two kernels interfere with each other or something like that. If we get rid of
the 2.6.38-8, tht 2.6.38-9 will be visible and fully selectable in GRUB. Just
expressing an idea here.
Note: The backlight is still messed up....
