I had the same problem, and was corrected by those steps -Open a terminal in the home directory: mv ~/.kde ~/.kde2 -Run Konqueror, keep window open. -Go to terminal again: rm -r .kde && mv ~/.kde2 ~/.kde - Go to Konqueror window. Save ALL view profiles again (Settings->Save View Profile...) - Close and reopen Konqueror
