I find it interesting that people affected by this bug report that sudo setpci -s 00:02.0 F4.B=00 is the brightest while sudo setpci -s 00:02.0 F4.B=FF is off
Does this pattern hold for everyone affected by the backlight off bug or is it the other way round for anybody? If this setpci command works for you at all then please test this.
