thanks for reporting this bug. If you upgraded using the update-manager
then the log files you refer to will be in /var/log/dist-upgrade. If you
could attach main.log and apt.log here that would be a big help. It
sounds like you have been bitten by bug 107188 but we'll be able to see
better if you attach those logs.
