Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

After booting, audio programs will seem to work, pavucontrol shows sound output
but the speakers are silent. After a
sudo killall /usr/bin/pulseaudio
the audio player skips to a new song and now the sound will actually come from
the speakers
