you can try this hack http://www.webupd8.org/2011/04/how-to-re-enable-
notification-area.html but as far as systray coming back is concerned I
believe that won't happen. the systray support may even end in 11.10 or
12.04 so apps need to be ported. the bug is invalid for unity.
