As this issue looks like a build error, I tried to re-build the package
myself.  However, running

LC_ALL=C LANG=C sudo dpkg-buildpackage

on the sources linked from <http://packages.ubuntu.com/natty/banshee>
fails with

dpkg-shlibdeps: error: no dependency information found for
/usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so.0 (used by
debian/banshee/usr/lib/banshee/Backends/libbnpx11.so).
dh_shlibdeps: dpkg-shlibdeps -Tdebian/banshee.substvars
debian/banshee/usr/lib/banshee/libbanshee.so
debian/banshee/usr/lib/banshee/Backends/libbnpx11.so
debian/banshee/usr/lib/banshee/libossifer.so returned exit code 2
make: *** [binary] Error 9
dpkg-buildpackage: error: debian/rules binary gave error exit status 2

but the resulting binary runs and doesn't crash (and is even able to
scan my I-Pod).
