Han He, it might be an issue in the recent kernel. See https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/761176 There is a workaround which helped me: Add "options ath9k nohwcrypt=1" to ath9k.conf in /etc/modprobe.d
