Public bug reported:

I've been having problems with both the battery percentage indication
and charging.

If no OS is not loaded(bios): Battery percentage and estimated time are
accurate, and battery always charges back to 100%
If windows is loaded: Battery percentage and estimated time are accurate, and
battery always charges back to 100%

When ubuntu is loaded: The battery percentage (and time estimate) is way
off from the actual values and ubuntu is random about it decision to
charge or not to charge the battery.

The only clues i could find are the following dmesg lines:

ACPI: Deprecated procfs I/F for AC is loaded, please retry with
CONFIG_ACPI_PROCFS_POWER cleared
ACPI: Deprecated procfs I/F for battery is loaded, please retry with
CONFIG_ACPI_PROCFS_POWER cleared
ACPI: Battery Slot [BAT1] (battery absent)

(i don't seem to have a BAT1 slot?)
