I have:
Ubuntu 11.04 + Gnome 2.x
Nvidia Geforce 6600GT with the driver version 270.41.06.
... and also the message that the driver is active but not currently in use.
I had no issue with the icons when turned on the Unity session, so for me it is
not a duplicate of the #762478 bug.
