Rob, Correct there aren't, however it is now possible to easily replace Ubuntu kernels with custom kernels now that we use pvgrub (it has even been backported to previous releases). Once a custom kernel has been made it can be installed into an ebs backed instance and reboot just like you would do on the desktop.
