Public bug reported:

Ubuntu Feisty (problem happens in Edgy too).
Lite-on LH-20A1L SATA DVD burner with litescribe.
No software is able to play any commercial movies on the drive. libdvdcss2 is
setup and installed properly, the external USB burner works perfectly.
Also all reading from the drive is SLOW! My god I've never seen a DVD drive
CRAWL like this before.

Drive is clearly not properly supported by the operating system itself.

Kaffeine reports: "05:47:49 PM: xine: cannot find input plugin for MRL
[dvd:///dev/scd0]"
k9copy reports: Can't open disc /dev/scd0!
gxine reports: Read error from /dev/scd0
totem reports: Totem cannot play this type of media (DVD) because you do not
have the appropriate plugins to handle it.

The totem report is obviously mistaken because the external USB DVD
burner works fine.

** Affects: Ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
