Yes, this progress bar is totally wrong. Basically Ubuntu is shipping an incompatible version of glade with anjuta as anjuta 2.x has never been tested with glade 3.8.x but instead we concentrated on anjuta 3.0 + glade 3.10.
For Anjuta 3.0 you need parts of the GNOME 3.0 stack but you don't need a full GNOME 3.
