Punting from xorg -> xserver-xorg-video-nv and setting back to
unconfirmed. Not sure what to make of this one.

If you are using an analogue cable (which it looks like you are) to connect to
your monitor, have you checked that the missing portition doesn't become
visible if you use your monitors auto adjust feature?
