** Description changed:

I upgraded to 11.4 and now find that the screen that allows me to choose
which system to boot can not be displayed on my monitor.
The monitor reports that the signal is out of range and that I should change
the resolution to 1280x1024. How do I do this in the GRUB loader?
  I have pasted copy of/etc/default/grub in http://paste.ubuntu.com/
