This is a ubuntu (only) bug.
To fix it: please use a newer version of gDesklets!
gDesklets 0.36.2 has been released on February 28th, 2010.
gDesklets 0.36.3 has been released on January 23th, 2011.
Ubuntu is still shipping gDesklets 0.36.1, which has been released on November
2nd 2008.
Yes, no typo: 2008 !!!
99% of these "gDesklets not working with ubuntu xx.yy" bugs have been
fixed (a long time ago)....
