Alex, could you try the same test and see what the results are in your
end?
Just thinking aloud here -- *if* you've been using Transmission for
awhile, maybe an older version set the defaults and that setting has
persisted across upgrades. I don't remember ever having a default
user/pass but I'm not 100% positive about that.
