I don't know... they all seem related somehow. After I've fixed /etc/fstab, "Hibernate" appeared in system menu, but it still doesn't work. I made swapoff, mkswap, swapon on swap volume. No errors were reported. After Hibernate command something is seemingly written in swap space (accorting to fstab from LiveCd boot). After booting, something is read from HD, yet Ubuntu goes into Logon instead of restoring anything. I haven't found nothing special in logs. My machine came with preinstalled Windows 7. I've immediatelly rearranged partitions, and installed Ubuntu. After upgrade to 11.4, I've rearranged partitions again and installed Mint. Mint's hibernation works. Probably unrelated: I can't reinstall grub from LiveCD. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/780818 Title: swap partition lost during the upgrade to 11.4 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
