** Description changed:

- In the attached OOo Writer file, I have the page divided into a big
- table. Within that I have other tables to help lay things out. If I
- select one of those tables-within-a-table, copy it and paste it, it
- pastes over the main table. I would like to be able to copy and paste
- these table-within-a-tables so that I don't have to create identical
- ones each time.
+ 1) lsb_release -rd
+ Description: Ubuntu 11.04
+ Release: 11.04

- My suggestion would be that the table should paste at the same 'level'
- as the copied table; if the table was within table 1 and the user tries
- to paste it inside table 1, it should create the table identically to
- the copied table.
+ 2) apt-cache policy libreoffice-writer
+ libreoffice-writer:
+ Installed: 1:3.3.2-1ubuntu5
+ Candidate: 1:3.3.2-1ubuntu5
+ Version table:
+ *** 1:3.3.2-1ubuntu5 0
+ 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty-proposed/main i386
+ Packages
+ 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
+ 1:3.3.2-1ubuntu4 0
+ 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty/main i386 Packages

- This is very difficult to explain, so try the attached document and ask
- any questions that you have.
+ 3) What is expected to happen in LibreOffice Writer via the Terminal:
+
+ cd ~/Desktop && wget
+
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/64295/+attachment/18400/+files/20061006_final_pres_handout.odt
+ && lowriter -nologo 20061006_final_pres_handout.odt
+
+ click box to right of [GP Practice?] -> Edit -> Select All -> Edit ->
+ Copy -> click cell below Joe elects Option A -> Edit -> Paste and the
+ table is pasted into cell.
+
+ 4) What happens instead is the table is not pasted, but the word Car is
+ pasted into the cell, and 30,000 is pasted into the cell to the right.
+
+ WORKAROUND: Use AbiWord.
+
+ apt-cache policy abiword
+ abiword:
+ Installed: 2.8.6-0.3build1
+ Candidate: 2.8.6-0.3build1
+ Version table:
+ *** 2.8.6-0.3build1 0
+ 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty/universe i386 Packages
+ 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

** Also affects: libreoffice (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided
       Status: New
