Version (from Help -About): openoffice.org 2.2.0-lubuntu4, Mon Jul 2
13:17:52 UTC 2007
- A table with few vertically merged cells was pasted from HTML page into
writer and successfully stored in .odf file. No problems with merged cells in
odt format.
- When this document (to be attached ) was saved in rft (as well as in DOC - MS
word for XP etc) - the table with merged cells was in trouble. Either Fault and
recovery attempt, or just loosing the merging info.
- Oh, no way to attach file here.. Create a 3 columns X 7 rows table, merge
2 top cells in right column, and all 5 other cells in right column. Enter some
text, save on odt - OK.
- Save in rtf, close and re-open file - cells are not merged.
+ 3) What is expected to happen in LibreOffice Writer or AbiWord via the
+ Terminal:
- I hope this file will help to reproduce and fix.
+ cd ~/Desktop && unoconv --listener && wget
+
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/132916/+attachment/132337/+files/new_merged_cells.odt
+ && unoconv -f rtf new_merged_cells.odt && lowriter -nologo
+ new_merged_cells.rtf new_merged_cells.odt
+
+ cd ~/Desktop && wget
+
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/132916/+attachment/132337/+files/new_merged_cells.odt
+ && abiword --to=rtf --to-name=new_merged_cells.rtf new_merged_cells.odt
+ && abiword new_merged_cells.rtf new_merged_cells.odt
+
+ the .rtf document looks the same as the .odt.
+
+ 4) What happens instead is it does not.
