Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: padevchooser

When padevchooser is running, and a USB headset is plugged in it works
fine. But as soon as the USB devices is unplugged the PC locks up
solidly. Ctrl+Alt+bkspc, Ctrl+Alt+del, have no effect. Neither does
Ctrl+Sysreq+R etc. Only forced power off is functioning. The bug is
repeatable, but the OS forces a file system check so I don't want to do
it too often!
