Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gedit
I have a shell script I'm editting in gedit. There is a comment line
which starts:
# if the directory specified doesn't exist, print an error and exit
Note that there is a single-quote mark in the word doesn't. Since this is a
comment, the syntax highlighter should ignore that
single quote mark. Instead, it's highlighting everything after that single
quote (including a bunch of lines after the comment) in pink as if it were all
part of a string literal.
The parser for the syntax highlighter should ignore all special
characters in comments.
