Well it seems you have the proper xorg packages installed. It must be another PPA package that you had enabled at one point. Unfortunately, I am not aware of a tool that can be used to sniff out unofficial packages. Your original sources.list would help you track down the PPA's you had enabled at one point. If you still have it that is.
