Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: unity

The GVIM window is grouped with the pinned VirtualBox icon on the side
bar and does not have an icon of its own. I suspect this has to do with
the way the task bar interprets names. There is no obvious or easy way
to split the icons so each can be pinned as separate tasks.

How to reproduce,
Install VirtualBox-4.0 from Oracle Repo, however I suspect the OSE will work.
Run VirtualBox and pin the task to the bar.
Install vim-gnome
run GVIM from the command line, it is not available in the search bar.
The GVIM task will group with the VirtualBox icon.
