In 11.04, there seems to be some GUI problems with the Brighness applet.
I am running the "classic: interface. Clicking on the Brightness applet
will display the slider. However, clicking on the slider will make the
slider suddenly disappear with no change in brightness. I have noticed
that I can adjust the brightness by doing the following: click on the
applet to bring up the slider, then RIGHT-click on the slider (which
makes the context-menu appear), then LEFT-click on the slider (making
the context menu disappear). At this point, the slider will work. Seems
like a GUI problem here.
