as far as I can tell the pycryptopp package uses the system crypto++ package which is not so hopelessly outdated as pycryptopp. So it should not be affected by this issue and the dependency is to high.
@ Zooko as you are the maintainer of pycryptopp please update it! it is 12 releases behind upstream...
