I think that the duplicate status is wrong.
I'm running 11.04 and in Monitor Preferences I see only one monitor when
in fact two are connected and the display is cloned.
This is without a xorg.conf file.
My card is:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV370 5B60 [Radeon X300
(PCIE)]
01:00.1 Display controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV370 [Radeon X300SE]
