No, that should be ok. If you check the changelog for that version:

cairo (1.10.2-2ubuntu2) natty; urgency=low

  * Don't turn the gl backend on for natty since it creates issues for nvidia
    users and is only used for wayland (lp: #725434)
  * debian/control,
    debian/libcairo2.symbols,
    debian/rules:
    - updated for the non-gl build
  * debian/control: Breaks on wayland

The first line makes clear that wayland support (the cairo-gl backend) has 
being deactivated in that ubuntu version to not have problems with nvidia 
users, AND a new  breaks field has being set with "wayland" on it. 

That is, wayland is not installable with the current libcairo2-dev
version *on purpouse*.

Some fast solution if anyone wants to try wayland, is to downgrade the
libcairo version to the previous one or maybe compile your on cairo
llib. Also, I'm not aware about how "hard" this cairo-gl requirement is
really for wayland and if maybe is unneded anymore or could be relaxed.
