Running Natty alpha with the latest partial upgrades on an HP5101 Mini
notebook.
A wireless connection is properly established using driver brcm80211 (I
deactivated the proprietary STA/wl driver manually). However as soon as I
insert an Ethernet cable and the network connection switches to the Ethernet
connection, the mouse cursor freezes. The on-off button doesn't bring up the
shutdown menu any longer, but the only way to recover/shut down is to press the
on-off button for a longer while.

If I disable the wireless network prior to inserting the Ethernet cable,
there is no problem.
If I then remove the cable again and after that enable the wireless network,
the switchover also works out well.

This problem didn't exist when running Maverick Meerkat on this same
computer. I have done several installs of Natty Alpha after Meerkat, the
last being a complete reinstallation with all settings removed from my
  home directory.

My reason for switching to Natty is that it incorporates a Broadcom
wireless driver that works at high speed (130 Mb/s instead of just 2
Mb/s). The speed issue was indeed solved :-)
