Same issue. External USB hard-disk fails to eject, but USB stick is
fine.
This could be a clue - I opened the "properties" dialogs for both of the
above devices, and looked at the "Drive" tab. The external hard-disk is
shown as "Removable: No", whereas the USB stick shows "Removable: Yes
(ejectable)"
Any ideas on how to set the disk as "ejectable"? I'll have a dig around
this arvo.
