oh also ive tried 1.) the unbind commands mentioned above for ls /sys/bus/pci/drivers/ehci_hcd the devices disappeared from ls /sys/bus/pci/drivers/ehci_hcd, but the error messages still appear on kern.log. 2.) unplugging the laptop and removing the battery as mentioned in forums, to no avail. 3.) also tried update-usbids at terminal (error still goes on and on)
