Melroy, If they refuse to fix this, then it should be seen as a different kind of bug:
If Unity detects that it's in a multi-monitor setup and that the primary monitor is not the leftmost, then it should display a warning to the user that this is not a fully supported setup, perhaps helpfully offering to automatically switch the primary monitor to the leftmost for the user. (Though this may be difficult to do with proprietary drivers that have their own monitor setup tools.) The current situation is very clearly broken, because everything seems to be OK (no warnings) and yet this setup is not properly supported.
