I have this problem too, installer failed while the partitioner was going (thankfully no data was lost -- looks like gparted finished the job). I was asked to post some files, but I had no idea how to do it.
Computer is a P3, 733 MHz, 512 MB ram. If the installer can't safely perform the functions it includes, maybe those functions should be disabled on future releases. A gparted live cd can be used to partition, and it's probably a better tool anyway. 2011/5/19 trevor <[email protected]> > ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu) > Status: Incomplete => Confirmed > > -- > You received this bug notification because you are a member of Lubuntu, > which is a bug assignee. > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/697694 > > Title: > Lubuntu installation crashes > > Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu: > Confirmed > > Bug description: > Binary package hint: ubiquity > > I tried installing Lubuntu 10.10 but the installation crashed and it > said to report a bug with two files attached: partman, and syslog.
