New development: having just rebooted my computer, the bogus CD is not shown; however, every 10 seconds or so, I get an error popup with no title, header text "Cannot eject volume", and explainer text "Cannot eject the volume". This has never happened before.
I am eager to restore my system to functionality by regressing to Edgy, but I am keeping this screwed up system around so that I can help you guys diagnose whatever is causing these bizarre and disruptive defects in Ubuntu. Please give me instructions on how to inform you as to what is going on here! In the time it took me to write this, I was interrupted about 30 times by the "Cannot eject volume" dialogs. Let me emphasize that there is nothing in my CD drive, and I just rebooted my computer. -- Ubuntu Feisty detects bogus audio CD https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/108507 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
