This seems to be a genral problem in Feisty and the generic kernals/headers etc.
I'm on a fresh install of feisty 2.6.20-15-generic and am havig compilation erros related to module building. 1) latest serialmonkey rt73usb kernal module for instance. This will compile with simply entering the 'make' command but bombs out with a 'sudo make' The error in question is make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.20-15-generic' CHK include/linux/version.h CHK include/linux/utsrelease.h make[2]: *** No rule to make target `arch/i386/kernel/msr.c', needed by `arch/i386/kernel/msr.o'. Stop. make[1]: *** [arch/i386/kernel] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.20-15-generic' This happens also when compiling ndiswrapper as well. -- alsa-source won't build in Feisty https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/75452 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
