It may also be interesting in order to detect the bug:

I was trying to switch to Ubuntu-(No effects) mode which goes
bellow the Ubuntu Classic and it makes whole system crash every
time I go there... actually system is restarting itself when I'm 
opening Ubuntu NO Effects.. 

Is it something with the video card driver?
