I had set this preference, but it did not have any effect. I removed all
preferences, then started virt-manager again, setting all preferences.
No effect either. Connecting to a host opened console windows for all
running virtual machines.

I desided to remove virt-manager, then install the newest version,
0.8.7, from sources. Now the error is gone!

For certain pieces of software it would be a really way better handling
to update frequently to the newest releases, not keeping it a some
ancient state, just because this was the state actual at distribution
release. I'd state: update to the latest release timely! It solves
various errors and bugs your being bugged with.
