On a recent Lenovo Thinkpad Edge, my attempt to remap the PrtSc key to
function as a Super key also produces the same bug.

$ cat .Xmodmap
! make prtsc a Super key
keysym 0xff61 = Super_R Super_R Super_R Super_R

Again: the Dash opens after pressing PrtSc (now Super_R) alone, but no
other combinations except for Super_R+s work.

I consider this a serious hindrance to usability, because it is much
more ergonomic to press the modifier key with the other hand, i.e:
Super_R + 1, Super_L + p, and so on, than to use the same hand over and
over. I have mild RSI and this one shortcoming was the single reason I
had to go back to the old --vastly inferior-- gnome interface.
