I had exactly the same problem. I couldn't connect to any wireless networks, even though they were visible in networking apps (I tried network manager, wicd, wifi-radar etc). I compiled the latest stable kernel (2.6.20-7) from Kernel.org and I could connect via network manager again. Here's the details about the Feisty Kernel I was experiencing problems with:
`uname -a` Linux ubuntu-laptop 2.6.20-15-generic #2 SMP Sun Apr 15 07:36:31 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux ** Attachment added: "dmesg.log" http://librarian.launchpad.net/7389710/dmesg.log -- Cannot connect with networkmanager in latest kernel https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/106157 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
