Public bug reported:

In my PC there are three network interfaces, a Broadcom PCI-E card which
is in use and two rtl8169 ones built into the motherboard.

When logging in to Ubuntu NetworkManager reports that I am connected to
the Network etc. however I then have no network connectivity. Going into
Active Connection information in Network Manager returns the information
for eth1, one of the unconnected, unused cards.

If I left click on Network Manager and choose the broadcom card then the
network is fixed. Restarting init.d/network also works. After choosing
the broadcom card the selection is forgotten on reboot and the network
stops working.

** Affects: Ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
