Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: hal

Original issue reported to KDE group, they stated this was an issue with
the HAL/UDev migration in Kubuntu. Issue appears to have increased in
severity in that at version 10.10 some disks that were still
playable/mountable will now not play/mount in 11.04. This may be a
duplicate of another defect but I could not find a dup.
