coming back from standby the harddisk led stays on for 20 minutes and top shows
gnome-power-manager as the process that makes the %WAIT go up to 80% for that
time.
could be vmware-vmx that has something to do with it too going crazy on the
pagefile. system is not under memory pressure but still..
