Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. Looking at your package installation log file I believe you may
have an older version of python installed, for example python2.4 (or
python2.4-minimal), which is causing this issue. Could you check and if
it one is installed, and you aren't using it, please remove it and try
reinstalling the package? Thanks in advance.
